Army coins range from post coins to company awards. Decide who will carry the coin and what they did to earn it, and the design follows from there.
Put the installation's landmark or motto on the front and the patches of the units stationed there on the back.
Use the unit crest, branch insignia and nickname, and add the commander's and first sergeant's ranks on the back.
"Awarded for Excellence" coins let leaders recognize soldiers on the spot, so order enough to keep a few on hand.
Division veterans' coins with the unit patch, the Army values and the division nickname make great reunion keepsakes.
Most Army coins are 1.75" or 2". Post coins with many unit patches work best at 2" or larger. Antique gold and antique bronze are traditional choices, and custom shapes, glitter enamel and specialty edges help a company coin stand out.
